Through
our fully accredited and professional educational
program, ALA restores the unmotivated student
to the path leading to college. ALA uses an online
“self-paced” educational platform
where most students are able to advance at more
than twice the rate of a regular public school
setting. Due to rebellion or lack of focus and
motivation, many of the students who enroll into
ALA suffer from a major deficiency in credit accumulation.
To be successful academically, they need to catch
up. Fortunately, while at ALA, most of our students
are able to focus and get back on track.
The ALA educational program is based on “mastery”,
meaning that the student “masters”
each component of each class before moving on
to the next. Each class is broken down into small
sections where they are able to grasp the material
and score well on the self-paced tests. Our students
don’t test until they’re ready, and
there is plenty of time to finish each test. As
a matter of fact, our teachers don’t allow
a student take a test unless they are confident
that the student has studied well and learned
the material. Our students actually begin to like
school again (some begin to enjoy school for the
very first time). ALA provides the students with
certified teachers who function as individual
tutors (one-on-one instruction and support) rather
than classroom instructors, thus giving personal
attention to the student in need.
ALA is a powerful Christian leadership school
utilizing accredited academics (accredited by
Northwest Association of Accredited Schools),
advanced leadership curriculum, and Christ-centered
discipleship teaching, (including local, national,
and international “mercy ministry”
outreach projects) This curriculum and these activities
give many opportunities to turn the hearts of
our students back to Jesus as they are taught
to give back to others from a “servant’s
heart.” ALA provides familial and academic
restoration through a 9 to 12 month advanced program
delivered in three phases (TRIMESTERS). Moreover,
our students are restored academically, returning
home ready to continue on with their course work,
and/or go on to college.
