Abundant Life Preparatory (ALP) offers a year-round Christian therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens.  More specifically, ALP is a Christ-centered therapeutic boarding school for troubled boys and troubled girls who desperately need academic restoration, and a second chance for good grades and college. The typical Abundant Life Prep student is a young man or young lady who has rejected his/her Christian upbringing, in rebellion against his/her parents, refuses to follow the family rules, is enamored by the trappings of this world, caught up in peer acceptance, emotionally immature, selfish, self-centered, and self absorbed.  This troubled teen cares only about his/her friends, having fun, and is angry whenever he/she is corrected, disciplined, or held accountable. Most importantly, Abundant Life Preparatory is a powerful academic-based boarding school designed to restore troubled teens (boys and girls seperate programs) to Jesus Christ, and reconciliation with the family.  In addition, our secondary goal is to restore each student back to a powerful and productive future through academic success. Besides a restored family, emotional maturity, developed skils of responsibility and accountability, at Abundant Life Preparatory our overall goal is academic excellence.  ALP specializes in credit recovery with intent to see every Abundant Life Prep student enroll into a college and university of their choice. ALP provides a safe and nurturing environment where academic pursuit becomes number one priority of the struggling teen.  The Abundant Life Preparatory experience includes full-time 24-hour professional care, group and individual therapy, academic counseling, one-on-one tutoring, and advanced leadership training (Christ-centered life coaching), athletics, community service, international missions, and horsemanship. Moreover, at ALP our student leaders learn to be strong mentors, life coaches, and significant positive influences on the newly enrolled ALP students.  The ALP student leader, through the development of the leadership skills related to personal and community responsibility and accountability, learn to be a positive influence on those around them instead of being misled by negative peers. 

Abundant Life Prep is the effective and sensible alternative to the traditional type of programs and camps designed to control the behavior of troubled teens; ALP takes the place of the rudimentary boot camps, therapeutic programs, and disciplinary camps that supposedly reform the troubled teenager. We offer two separate therapeutic boarding schools for troubled teens (ages 12 to 18): a school for troubled boys and a schoolfor troubled girls. We serve troubled teenagers who are struggling with:

- Rebellion against parental authority;
- Academic distress: unmotivated, poor grades, behind in credits;
- Making poor personal choices;
- Blames others, rationalizes, minimizes poor choices;
- Lies, sneaky behavior, hides poor choices;
- Experimenting with sex, alcohol, and/or drugs;
- Caring only about hanging out with a group of troubled friends;
- Rejecting Christian upbringing; and
- Moderate depression.

Our mission is to facilitate the troubled teens with Christian resources that can restore them to their family, as well as to restore the student academically, behaviorally, and spiritually.  Abundant Life Preparatory is one of a very few boarding schools for troubled teens offering family restoration.
