Abundant Life Preparatory is a boarding school for troubled teens from District of Columbia. Abundant Life Preparatory is a Christian boarding school that specializes in transitioning troubled teens from the District of Columbia from adolescence into adulthood. At Abundant Life Preparatory there is a firm commitment to academic pursuits and Christ centerd leadership instruction.  We consider Abundant Life Preparatory to be a fresh educational alternative to the traditional therapeutic boarding school, taking young men and women from adolescence and training them to meet the essential responsibilities of adulthood. We prepare the struggling teenagers in our program to look toward their future with confidence and boldness. Abundant Life Preparatory teaches a universal independent life skills curriculum to each troubled boy, and troubled girl which includes: honoring God, understanding respect for authority, instruction in accountability, making smart decisions, learning to work with others, facing adversity with a positive attitude, and using self control and crisp personal habits.

Abundant Life Preparatory offers a year round academic program enhanced with an intense emotional growth curriculum using the Christian principles found in the Holy Bible. Students not only study the principles taught by Jesus Christ, but they also learn to apply those principles in their every day life inside, and outside the academy. Students are shown how to tap into their strengths and talents, and to have opportunity to find and choose Jesus Christ to be their life source and strength. The Directors and staff of ALP are committed to the pursuit of calling forth the destiny that God placed in each of these young student-leaders.
