Abundant Life Preparatory Therapeutic Services
All aspects of Abundant Life Preparatory, from academics to athletics, are designed to be therapeutic in practice and purpose. All of what ALP offers in regard to the therapeutic process is grounded in “leadership development”, delivered through a Therapeutic environment (safe, secure, and supportive). Students at ALP are on a journey of emotional self-discovery and learning about themselves and others. Furthermore, ALP offers therapeutic services delivered by mental health professionals who have built therapeutic relationships through genuine trust and authentic concern.
Clinical Staff
The ALP Masters level therapist is professionally licensed with the State of Utah as a Mental Health Professional. Our Therapist is required to meet continuing education and training requirements to maintain their licenses and level of expertise. The ALP therapist conducts individual, family, and groups sessions with students. The therapist oversees family representatives who facilitate parent visits, family restoration phone calls, and other components of the program. In addition to the licensed therapist, ALP employs a certified school counselor. The school counselor bridges the gap between emotional wellness and academic prowess.
Substance Abuse Education
Students who enter the program with substance abuse issues receive individual and group therapeutic support. These students attend substance abuse education meetingsand work through an individualized substance abuse program with the ALP therapist.
Parent & Family Support
Abundant Life Preparatory offers parent coaching to educate parents about the program and empower them with new parenting skills. Additionally, ALP offers a Family Conference every other month throughout the year.
