Unfortunately, there are virtually no boarding schools for troubled teens in California.  California is a "child rights" State, meaning the parents of CA have been stripped of their parental rights in every aspect and the State Laws prohibit ANYONE except California Youth Authority (Youth Corrections) can keep a child within its boundaries regardless of the child's ability, willingness, or desire to make a decision in their best interest.  There are no boarding schools for troubled teens in California because parents cannot place their child into boarding schools unless the child consents.  Troubled teens are troubled because they are refusing to submit to any authority, let alone the authority of their parents.  To think they would agree to enroll into a boarding schools is ridiculous.

Authorities, including parents, cannot stop a child in California from worshipping the devil, rob a convenience store, or have sex with as many people as they can.  So obviously, boarding schools for troubled teens are out of the question. Authorities, other than police officers, cannot stop a child from drinking, using drugs, or running away from home.  A child can destroy property, hit a parent or a sibling, and make threats of credible harm and receive absolutely no consequence.  The extreme liberal influence in California has allowed the creation of the most retarded laws one could imagine. Therefore, no one in their right mind would open a boarding school for troubled teens in California.  You could not hold the troubled teen accountable in any form or fashion without facing the real possibility that you would go to jail, even if you were protecting yourself from a physical attack from a child.

A teen, even a very troubled teen, can seek an abortion in California and receive one, without parental consent or knowledge, and then prevent their medical records to be shared with a parent.  A parent in California cannot perform a drug test of their child without violating the law, and they cannot seek any medical records involving abortions or drug use without the written permission of the child.  But, a child cannot have a wart removed without parental consent, and the parent who can't receive any information about the abortion can be charged with the expense, forced to pay for it, and then can be held negligent if the abortion later causes medical complications that harm the child.  This is the abortion that the parent was not allowed to know about, but they are still responsible for the care of the child if the abortion causes medical complications because the Law of the State of California declares that they should know.  These are all very real situations that are real, and troubled teens in California cannot be helped, held accountable, or caused to be responsible for their actions unless a judge rules that they have committed a crime.  Even then the law enforcement agents have their hands tied and have limited options when it comes to caring for troubled teens that are out of control and are in need of boarding schools.
